Maximum PC

Hey guys, I have recently decided to break down and pick up a good portable media player but there are so many choices out there I can't figure out which one to go with. Any suggestions? Quite a few people have told me to get an Ipod and I will if I have to but honestly I can't stand Apple and don't want to support them unless there's no other choice. Thanks in advance for any help.

I like the Sandisk brand myself. For the most part though, I've been putting stuff on my phone lately.

I strongly recommend GoGear ViBE players from Philips. I've had one since October 2010 and it's easy to use and the supplied earbuds sound really good when the right EQ preset is used.

Well furball I am not really sure what features are the most important to me. I have a setup at the house that I play everything on and have never needed a portable. I just want something that I can use to play music while I am working out and while I am at work. At work I have a lot of time sitting around not doing anything and could see myself passing the time with tunes. I doubt I'll use it for video much honestly, I will probably use my Droid phone for that. The reason I don't use my phone is because I have a boat load of music and didn't want to take up all the space on my phone with my music library. So Ovenmaster, The GoGear ViBE is good huh? I'll check it out. Thanks again for all the input guys.

Well I like to VLC player ever for audio or video. I have totally inspired from this player and right now I am using the latest version of the VLC.
