Maximum PC

I have a Dell D610 laptop with XP Pro. It had a virus and I used Malwarebytes to remove it. all seems ok now except I have no internet using wired or wireless. I have ran the WinsockXP Fix. I have ran the LSP Fix. I have checked to make sure under connections - Lan settings is uncheck. I have also noticed that both connections show connected but I have nothing. I have did a complete reset of IE8. I have also logged in with safe mode with networking and nothing. I know it isn't my internet because everything else works. Any ideas to fix besides restore would be greatly appreciated.

re-install the network drivers for your laptop. you can also flush your dns tables on the computer and see if that works as well. go to run --> command --> and type in ipconfig /flushdns

deleted the wireless and NIC drivers. Reinstalled them. I tried the flush DNS and I get an internal error occurred

I think you still have a virus in your system preventing you from getting on the net.

Go to Safe Mode with networking, before hand get these two apps:

Be sure to run this one first and it takes time so be patient.

Run this app next and do not let your mouse cursor in the box that pops up and runs. This app will also take a long time to run, once again be patient! Now run Malwarebytes after you update the definitions.

This should get you back on the net, now stay out of the damn porn sites!

Nasty

I had a 610, and if I remember right you might have to use the FN (function) key and the icon in the top row that shows the internet symbol . Don't have it anymore, but you'll see the right key. It toggles the internet on/off. I hope it's that simple, worth a shot.
