Maximum PC

I need help deciding on a stable overclock and voltage. I am using a gigabyte card and windows 7.

There is no set stable overclock for anything. Use this slightly outdated but still relevant guide to find the stable point for your card.

Holy crap dude... really? you are going to site a source that has rivatuner?!?! god damn, that's like geforce 4 ti old. lol

Seriously, what model 560 Ti do you have? You can use MSI afterburner to OC the card. I'd look up what other people have been able to get for your specific card on other forums like hardocp. If it comes with an aftermarket cooler stock, you'll be in better shape to OC. Use FurMark to stress test your OC and see if you have it stable.

The tools have changed, but the methods are really similar. Change a setting, run a stress test, repeat. I use nVidia System Tools.

he's better off going to an overclocker's forum and find out what most people are getting the best stable OC settings then just trying to figure it out himself. Less guessing, less trial and error. This is also a good way to not fuck up his card if he starts to play around with voltages.

I have settled on MSI Afterburner to get things rolling.

I currently have the card at a Core of 940 mhz, a shader clock of 1880 and my memory at 2050. This is with no voltage change.


Edit: I have changed voltage to 1.1 volt's.

Core: 950 Shader: 1900 Memory: 2060

whats your temp on load? I'm sure you could get 1000mhz on the core if you up the voltage just a bit.

Idle Temps: 30 degrees

Load Temps: Stress Testing on that machine right now, temps at bout 78 to 80.

Temps are in celsius.

yeah, you got some head room to play with still. See if you can push it to 1000 core and still be around 85C, but other then that, 950 is still pretty damn good for that card. I'd maybe pop the cooler off and put some better thermal paste on like AC5 or better.

I think I will go for 1000 mhz, but I don't fell like going that far as redoing thermal paste.

Alright, got everything running at at a voltage of 1.1 volts. Core is 970, Shader is 1940. Memory is at 2110.

This was done using MSI Afterburner. Folds like a beast.

Temps of 62 degrees in Celsuis with fans at 74 percent load.

for folding, you do know that only the shaders need to be overclocked, right? core and memory don't fold.

Ok, maybe I will try bumping it a bit higher on the shaders.
