Subscribers must rejoice everytime they look at that horribly out-dated Best of the Best list that is posted on the MaxPC's online version.

The online list still shows LGA 1156 motherboards and does not even recommend an LGA 1155 board.

Many examples can be sited. This stuff is OLD.

I just don't think there were any BOTB worthy motherboards for 1155 as of last issue.

I must defend my post. Image
Actually, in the September 2011 issue (which I've had for about 10 days) the currently recommended LGA 1155 socket motherboard is the ASUS P8Z68-V Pro.
The XFX Radeon HD 6870 is now the best budget video card. The 6870 was reviewed late last year but since the price has been reduced to about $180 it has become the budget recommendation.
The performance GPU is now the XFX Radeon HD 6970.

Aw, I don't think September has arrived in the mail yet. Bummer.

I had almost given up hope for online viewers of MaxPC's best of the best list. But they have actually updated it!
The question is, are they now going to ignore it for another eight months?
