Maximum PC

Is there something going on with the points? I have 2 updates with 0 points, and it says current right away when it normally takes 10 min or so. Any news?

Same here, and I know I've completed at least one GPU WU in that timespan. Probably something screwy with it fetching the stats. I think this has happened before and it reflected the real points eventually once things got fixed

standford was down earlier today, but seems like its back now and all credits should have been recorded for

Looks like the points showed up for me too.

WikingTOR where did you go to see that the servers were down? It looks like I still received WU but completed ones did not show.

I thought there was a problem!
I had a WU go in just before 9am CST today (Dec. 6) and got no credit for it. Then i sent another unit in around 8pm CST, and got credit for it... and the points added up to what I'd have gotten for that WU and the uncredited one.

EasyE -I just noticed their webpage for FAH was down earlier yesterday so i assumed they had some problems

Just checked a few other guys on my threat list and it looks like everyone hasn't reported yet. It's only 5am but like someone said a few days back all the points show up eventually.

A few years back, this used to happen about once a month.... and Always on the weekend.

As of this post, it's not even 7:00 am in California.

We just have to wait till the overnight IT guy has his coffee, gets down to the lab, and gives the server a swift kick in the um, shall we say buffer.

Usually the stats would start reporting again around noon - Eastern time.

Network issue at Stanford

The whole Stanford campus is having a major issue due to the lack of chilled water on campus. This is causing issues for many of our servers in different server rooms. As of this moment, this is still not resolved. We cannot bring servers back on line until this is resolved. It's getting late (~10:30pm PST), so we'll check back tomorrow morning to see hopefully that this is resolved. Until then, several of FAH's servers are down unfortunately.

UPDATE 4:30am Pacific Time: Chilled water came back on line at 11am, but several of our servers are still down. Our sysadmins will work to get them back up, but it may not be until Monday, depending on their availability on Sunday.

This has got to be one of the longest point outages that I have ever seen.

yeah. I hope the points (and especially the research) aren't going into a black hole. Hopefully the research still counts at the very least. I'd bet 7im could tell us (or if I'd go looking on the folding forum).

Im sure since we can recieve and send units then they are not going into a black hole haha. Even work units cant escape the awesome gravity of a black hole!

Update on outage – FAH has been up as of Sunday, stats back on line now

Here's our (I think) last update on this recent outage. This was a major disaster at Stanford affecting the whole campus and I'm grateful for our team coming in on Sunday to get things back up. The workservers have been up since then and work and stats have been saved. The stats updating was put on hold until we can make sure everything looked ok. We've turned it back on. Please note that there is no stats loss while we turn off updates. People should see a big bump in their stats shortly. Thanks for bearing with us through this.

Yeah, the meager 2600 I just got for for 3 to 6 PM Pacific zone slot (1 to 4 PM Central Time) were the first points for me in three days.
