Maximum PC

As many of you know and have read GSMITHEMAN (Gordon)'s wife Rose has become severely ill as of late. As a tribute to her and all the help and information that Gordon has brought to the team I propose a foldathon! I know the reason for me joining the team was Gordons welcoming post. Its what drew me here and caused me to develop a passion for folding. Over the past several years that I have been around I know that countless topics of discussion have been brought up. He has contributed so much to the forum and the community that we need some way of giving back.
My idea was to fold for say the month of November, or to 10 million points under the Rose username, something along those lines. What do you guys think?

I like the 10 million goal, simply because, I think it was Gordon saying something about knowing everyone with 10Million points, and it would be a nifty thing to tie in his wife to that comment as well.

Gimme a precise name to fold under and my fresh, new build will be put to use for around 5500ppd.

I wouldn't mind some more input on the matter but the "Rose" username seems to be unused on our team. In any case I would like the start date to be NOV 1, of course people can start whenever they wish.

A passkey will have to be qualified for a new username to get bonuses for SMP and BigAdv. GPU will be fine without it.

I have a passkey available that was only used by EasyE for the Chimp Challenge. It is qualified for maximum_monkey, but a few of us together could probably get it qualified for another name pretty quick.

I will wait for magnumsrule to post a username and whether or not he has started a different passkey.

Gordon was a huge factor in why I chose to bring my boxen here when it came time to find a new team. This is despite the fact that I had never even read MaximumPC magazine.

Well if you guys are happy with "Rose" then a passkey will need to be qualified. I didn't start one already so if FT already has a key then that's great. Do you think anyone at evga would be interested in joining this?

I'm folding now. This will be the first WU on this passkey for the new username. Taking PM's if anyone wants to help. If we get it established enough that I don't think it will be in danger of being trashed, I may make it public.

Ok im starting up two gpu clients. I wont be able to run at full blast until I install my new watercooling parts sometime this coming week. I will try and get my other machines running too.

I'm in. I've got about 27k ppd ready for Rose. I can switch over my 920 tomorrow if you need help qualifying the passkey.

Ok got another rig going. Now have 3 gpus and one smp. Should we just say the official start is now, or wait until the passkey is qualified?

I'm running either way. If you wait for the passkey, it could be a few days. It's going to take me 3 days to complete the first SMP that I got. I think there are 3 of us working to qualify it now.

If someone could PM me a passkey, I would be honored in donating in Rose's name. I may be a little late starting as I'm currently occupied in a contest though.

I've switched over one of my rigs, and will leave it as Rose for a while.
