I loaded the developers version of win8 on a pc. Every time I log on to win8 I have to run a repair on the network card to get it to run. I ran the win7 Developers kit when it came out and I had no troubles with this portion of windows. What did they change to cause this problem in win8?

I have a cable modem going into a linksys router, running 3 XP machines and they have no problem at all playing nice together. I now have 2 XP machines and the win8 machine plugged into the router and win8 won't configure the network right. All these computers do is access the internet and not each other.

Yup. My summary is that Win8 is for "phones"; not computers, nor is it intended for it. Apple had this same birthing issue..."it wants a network/host" is my best guess.

Seen it, gave up quickly...

Thanks for the feedback, I hope they realize this problem and fix it because the system I have it in right now has never run this good. I thought it was something I did. The first thing I did was get rid of Metro! YUK! They should fire the team that came up with that.
