So i Have the PhenomII x4 955 on a MSI 880GM-E41 Mainboard.
In my bios it says my Hyper-transport is running at 2000. It has the option to go up to 4000 (the maximum my cpu states it can do) and the mainboard supports up to 5600.
So my question, can i turn it up from 2000 to 4000 without noticing an HUGE increase in bus temp? or will that increase melt my board XD? (over-exaggerating a bit)

Also running a HD6950 and 4Gb of 1600 DDR3

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe the HyperTransport bus is "double pumped". Meaning that if it's running at 2000 MHz, it has the effective data rate of 4000MHz. So your 955 is running right within specs. Be careful adjusting the HyperTransport bus with AMD because it doesn't like to go much beyond spec without crashing. Just my 2/100 of a dollar...
