Hey bingojubes, these Radeon 5870s:

About their PCI-e power connections, do they take one 6 pin and one 8 pin power connectors or do they take two 8 pin power connector plugs?

they take 2x 6-pins each. the cables themselves are 6+2 pin (8-pin)

kind of hard to see, but the +2's are pushed out of the way.

Not happy yet. This case has so much potential for that ultra clean look I'm after, but I'm being held back by my 4 year old power supply. Also going to be using white sleeving for all power supply cables and white sata cable. I'm at a loss though to figure out what to do with the 2 cables running to my Recon3d sound card for the front panel. They're really ugly sitting on top of my 670 like that. In the second shot I've kind of tucked them behind the corner of the 670 but not sure what else I can do to totally hide them. Plus even with this new full modular corsair power supply I'm getting, I'm still locked by the fact that the 670's power goes in on the side rather than the rear. Anybody have any creative ideas on how I can hide them?

Nice rig Fury. I use the exact same tower. How about that paint job, eh?? Like a brand new car, that paint job.

Your first interior pic with the sound card on top, I was going to suggest that, instead of the opening you are using on the back panel you use the opening right above it. It'll get the wires away from your vid card and those wires are going up anyway cause they have to hook up to your front panel buttons, yes?? Maybe even inside, tie them with the large, black wire tubing you have coming off the mobo. BUT.....you next pic I see you have the sound card installed in between vid cards which looks tight. How is your vid cards' temps??? You using Hardware Monitor? They gotta be up a bit with the sound card in between the vid cards.

My setup I have all incoming air except for the rear which is the exhaust. I have two fans on the bottom sucking in cool air INTO the rig. I have my hard drives facing the side NOT the front which gives me one fan in the front that also sucks cool air into the rig (unobstructed too, no hard drives in top bay just the bottom two bays). I even have a 200mm fan on top sucking IN cool air too. One aspect of temp control you don't hear a lot about is air PRESSURE. I figure this setup gives me quite a bit of air pressure......COOL air pressure coming in and just like a ZIT.....I squeeze it all out two rear fans. This setup also includes the Dark Knight CPU Cooler with 140mm fan/6 heat pipes that line up perfectly with my rear exhaust fan. So the 200mm top fan blows cool air right on top of my CPU along with the front 120mm fan doing the same thing. The bottom two 120mm fans are blowing cool air right into my vid card's own THREE FAN cooling system. Sitting right on top of the vid card and mounted in the back is an 80mm fan sucking out the hot air created by vid card. There is no place for a fan here, I had to cut out the empty slots my rig doesn't need that were made for PCI cards. LEDs and pics give it a toxic waste dump vibe. Here is a REALLY crappy pic I took with an old cell.

I think our towers, for the $$, is the best quality towers out there bar none. The paint job is the first thing that jumps out at you it's so high quality. This is my first build with a full tower and I love all the extra room! Mid towers suck!!! Hard to create a professional rig with limited room. Good luck with your rig.
