Hello folks,

Pretty simple question, I aspire to be a developer some day(hopefully .net or possibly a web developer) and I am currently going to school for it. when applying for positions after I get out, will it matter or not that so far I've had 4 solid years of experience doing level 1, 2 and deskside support as well as some admin duties? will that help my resume at all?

Can't hurt to put it on your resume in a flattering way, but don't expect that to make up for your lack of experience if the position you apply for also receives resumes from individuals with a background in development.

It will definitely help and put you ahead of the majority of students who graduate with no experience. However, as vig1lant3 mentioned, it is not the same as experience in the field.

If you apply to entry-level positions, you'll find something.

Been considering a switch from engineering to Computer Science myself. Good luck!
