I've lost the last 3 bigadv work units like this. The first two were 2686's so I thought it might be a problem with just those work units, but the last one was a 6900. But what gives with this "CoreStatus = FF (255)"? I haven't tried a reboot yet, so I'll see if that helps.

FF

CoreStatus = FF (255)
Sending work to server
Project: xxxx (Run x, Clone x, Gen x)
Trying to send all finished work units

FF is a generic segfault return code. This has many possible causes, but the first thing to check for is overclocking/overheating or a hardware failure in the memory subsystem

Check your overclocks and temperatures. What are they on this particular CPU?

*EDIT* I see RacerAC beat me to it. :) I'll leave my post since I included the source link.

Thanks guys. Processor is a 980X @ 4.0Ghz and is running 110C according to Speedfan. Upon checking temps and further investigation, found H70 CPU cooler radiator packed with dust. After cleaning temps went from 110C to 77C. Fans are sucking air into the case from the back, so I'll have to check back there a little more often. We'll see how it goes from here.
