Check out Taffer.

Taffer can be a slang term for thief, but this one is a giver.

He/she has been producing steady for the past couple of weeks and is close to breaking into the Top 1000 on the team as of this post.

If you see this, Taffer, stop in, say "Hi", and enjoy the camaraderie.

Maybe this is you on Reddit. A gamer for sure if it is, but the folding points don't look like GPU.

Anyway, glad you chose to fold and happy you chose the MaxPC team to join up with!

Welcome!

Welcome Taffer

When you are comfortable please communicate with us as much as your willing to share.

We always wonder about hardware and location.

We have students at home
Students at school
Military
Young families
middle aged
old folks like myself

We do everything we can think of to make folding fun at MPC.

But we also would like some new ideas if you come up with one.

Ok, either I forgot my e-mail and password for the handle Taffer on here, or someone else registered it. :p

Anyway, I'm the guy doing all the folding lately under the name Taffer.
I've got 3 PCs and 1 PS3 doing some folding. Yesterday was the first time I used the PS3. Kinda cool :)
I'm using the SMP client on all the PCs.

Main PC
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T - Running stock clock speeds 3.2 GHz
MSI 890FXA-GD70 Mobo
Zalman CNPS9900MAX-B cooler (runs my CPU core at 38C at full load) <- Highly recommend this cooler
16 GB DDR3 1333 G Skill Sniper RAM
2 Western Digital 500 GB Enterprise drives running in a RAID 0 SATA 300
1 Western Digital 2 TB Green drive
1 LG Bluray burner

2nd PC
AMD Phenom II x4 810 - Overclocked to 2.9 GHz
Asus M3N72-D Mobo
4 GB DDR2 800 RAM :( <---Slow RAM
Cooler Master Hyper 101 cooler for the CPU (Core temps hover around 47C full load) kinda hot
1 junky Western Digital 500 GB Blue SATA 150 drive. It's slow :(
My case is small on this PC, so it does get kind of hot. The new Hyper 101 cooler has dropped temps 10-14C

I work on airplanes as an electrician. My wiring in the cases always seems to be pretty good. :)

3rd machine is a Toshiba laptop with a AMD 3 core CPU. It's bone stock except for a nicer and bigger hard drive.

That's all for now. I'm glad I noticed you guys were wondering about me. I was googling some other users names and found this thread here too.

Glad you saw the thread and replied, TafferBoyElvis!

You can dress up your profile with a shiny new Team badge.

More info about the badges here.

You already qualify for a Top 1000 badge!

You've intrigued me with the comment about the wiring in your cases. I'd love to see the work of an airplane electrician! Given the tight quarters you're used to working in, you should be in familiar territory.

With the breakdown on your rigs, you've almost done a HowLight. What's a HowLight? Here is an explanation. If you are interested in doing one, send a PM to gsmitheman and he will guide you through the process.

Once again, WELCOME!
