In Windows 7, is there a way to adjust the display order of system tray icons? I want to set a certain system tray icon to always be located first in the row.

I've had to trick mine, but I can't duplicate it all the time on the other machines (Forbid I have to reinstall and it not work again on my own machine, because I like the same thing). What I did was hide them, and then simply "show" them in the opposite order I want them seen; "Applying" between each show.

I'm thinking left to right, so what I did was start with the things that would go on the right first...the more I "show", the new ones moved to the left. What doesn't work with this no matter what (with me) is Logitech anything...entirely random it seems.

But here's a simple question from your picture: do you need volume panel at all? Disable that thing, as there's always another application to do this besides Windows' own VP control to manage sound. If you want "Z" on the left of that...disable the speaker icon entirely.

With that in mind, it would seem that writing a script to launch your services in the tray would be the way to go.
