Hello fellow folders,

just checking in to say I am still around.

Unfortunately I had the sad fate of finding my mom last weekend at her home, well the funeral is Saturday. Can't say it a polite way I suppose.

Please have a little patience with me for a bit, I am a bit, "on edge" as you may or may not understand.

make a will, please if you ignore the rest of this do this. legal zoom dot com can help
and if you don't the STATE gets so much more control of where your stuff goes, an not your family

gather you important stuff into ONE place and mark it clearly!!
mom was from a generation where you kept ALL BILLS,correspondence,etc
I literally am having to read at least 8 years worth of statements and such to
find out what is owed an not owed to anybody.

if you have older parents, check on them NOW please.

Sorry to hear about your loss, hope the family will stay together and not become unfriends due to the heritage.

My condolences to you for your loss... It is heart wrenching to hear of such a tragedy... I'm sure as the days go by here in the future, things will ease up and become less of a mess.

Im sorry for your loss.

We went through the same thing when my grandpa passed away a year and a half ago. He had bank statements from over 20 years ago haha, and a will that was even older.

Sad news indeed, my condolences and warm wishes for better days ahead.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Condolences to you and your family.

My wife's uncle passed recently. He had a will filed with the court. Years later after his wife passed, he had another one drafted, signed and notarized. It was never filed with the court, so they are not recognizing the newer will. His only living son, who is the executor, has to go by the terms in the older will.
