This months magazine made me install the Joli OS, light and nimble and incredibly responsive. I really like this Web OS, however every time I run it then want to boot windows again I get the Blue Screen Of Death....

Is there a reason for this ? I think maybe something along the lines of Joli not dumping her cashed files or something else memory related ? I say that because if I run windows in safe mode and restart from there, then I have no trouble with windows... This is an annoying process to go through...

Any suggestions ?

Exactly when in the restarting process are you getting the BSOD?

or...you select shutdown or restart in Joli and then what happens?

If i restart from windows Joli runs GREAT but then when I restart From Joli and try to go into Vista Home Premium, it doesn't even get to the splash screen before the crash dump...

In the state you describe, booting to the OS uses the windows bootloader.

Considering that you're saying that BSOD occurs the very instant things try to load, I'd theorize and that your issue is there (at the bootloader) and you may want to be looking through your event logs in windows or the logging going on with the bootloader.

I'm not sure is running a repair on the boorloader would cure anything, but I can't see it making anything worse at this point either.
