Maximum PC

These are the parts that I already have in my possession.

MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB Video Card
Cooler Master 750W ATX12V Power Supply

I got the CPU for cheap from Microcenter with an ATX board. I originally planned to build a full ATX tower, but then I decided to make a small build so I can take it with me to college, so I'm returning my ATX mobo.

Basically, what I want is a small desktop rig that I can take in my carry-on for flights without much hassle. Smaller is better, without sacrificing performance. I'm looking for a CPU cooler, Mobo, and Case (maybe a PSU if needed). I'm currently looking at things like SILVERSTONE Sugo Series SG05BB-450.

Can I still overclock my i5 in a small case?

Beware of heat in small cube cases. I have a warped Biostar AMD 939 board to attest to this.

The NZXT Vulcan might be a nice case for your needs, and it has more fan slots than most cubes. Also, you can probably fit a good CPU cooler in it. Cubes don't give you much clearance for the CPU cooler, as that's usually where the PSU or the optical drive are located.

iTX is an option. Silverstone has a nice little case with a 600W supply built in for roughly $200. I've said it elsewhere, But I love this little iTX build and am planning others for all in this house. $85 gets you an H61 iTX board, but you have to plan a bit more for them than usual.

There's smaller cases than these shoe-box builds, but seems to have more issues in the long run. Always seems to be scratch builds when that's not exactly what you're looking for.
