Does doing any of your banking and/or investment activities online qualify as doing finances in the "cloud"? If it does, then I'm about as stupid as they get!

No, it doesn't.

If you store CC or account numbers online, that's dumb .. But using your bank's online tools should be fine.

I understand now, it's the storage of sensitive information online that is the problem, not necessarily the use of it, especially if the use is in the secure https mode. Sorry for being a bit confused at first.

Right, cloud is just like in real life. You don't leave your car opened. The same with the data - some things may be shared, for some it's not possible.
