@Boddaker
I was wondering if you would be able to make the LEDs for the wheel tube oscillate to give the effect of motion?
I am sure that this may not be on your list and really is an extra but I was just curious if it was something that you would entertain?
I just got done watching the movie again and noticed during the light cycle scene that the wheels did that so the spark hit me then.
The build is looking wicked!

Yeah I had considered that when I was designing the bike. But with the led strips I'm using, there is no way to individually control the leds. I'd have to get a bunch of single leds and hook them up to a control board that can make them blink in succession. Due to the time constraints, I opted to just use the led strips. :)

-------------------

Well, the good news is, I finished it in time. The bad news is I couldn't get it to power up. Some kind of short in the wiring prevented anything from running more than a second, and me with no time to troubleshoot.

Regardless, here are the final pics (power to lights and fans provided by spare psu). Enjoy, and I'm off to sleep for a couple days. ;)

That's ridiculously awesome.

I'm sorry to hear about the problems, but congratulations on an awesome job done.

Voted. Like the rest of the people posting here, i agree, it's the best mod I've ever seen, i don't think it will be easy to top, or topped any time soon.

Good luck with the contest.

Now i'm gonna go look at my own mod and cry... (lol)

Thanks for the votes everybody, they are appreciated! :)

As for my next project, I've been needing a new workstation to replace my old system at work. I do audio/video editing and graphics, so I'd like to incorporate EVGA's dual processor SR-2 board and an nice NVidia Quaddro card. Preliminary designs are leaning towards a dual monitor setup housed within the case to save some desktop space. Still rough ideas at this point tho. Who knows if something else will jump ahead of this one lol.

So I'm happy to say the wiring issues have been worked out, and its up and running. :D But it's now on its merry way to be shown at Computex, and I didn't get a chance to do any testing on that rad. So a temps report will have to wait until I get it back after the show.

well its quite obvious that some people don't know a good mod if it slapped them in the face!.

236 votes for the Tron mod and 808 for the L3p D3sk

its just a desk..i did think it was kinda neat, but nowhere near the lvl of skill that was shown with the Tron mod..i digress.

I think its messed up also. All the guy did was put some stuff into a table and put glass on it. I could do that. The tron build takes skill and should be the winner.
