Hi all I was just wondering if this is possible?? Reasons why I want to try and do this is that I sometimes have family over and I want to do my hw and they want to watch a movie. I have my LCD as my monitor and a 40ininch 1080 hd tv connected to my computer. But I cant listen to my music because the movie is on. Is their a way to do this like have one app be on the speakers and another app on my headphones??

Assuming you're using Windows, I think you'll have to choose one default playback device at a time even if you use two audio devices as diverse as one bluetooth and one SPDIF.

Edit: If you absolutely can't do your homework without music playing, perhaps you could get a cheap ChiPod at the dollar store.
