I always love it when you respond to vintage gaming posts. Classic adventure games don't receive much love anymore, and those are what got me into gaming.

They got me into gaming as well.

My first PC Game (had an Apple from 1983 with some cheezy games) was the 16 color version of Monkey Island back in 1990. Had it running on a 286 5Mhz 512K RAM with one of those $#%&ing useless low density FDD.

I tried to list as many as I could think of but I was at work and couldn't go digging through my closet looking through the games.

How about Mule on an ancient Atari 800 sporting a big 48k of ram. Also on an 800 emulator on my PC. Great game that never was ported to IBM.
Baldur's Gate on the laptop because it's not up to Neverwinter.

M.U.L.E. was one of the first games I played on the old Commodore 64. It was also one of the first I played on my mod'ed XBox.

Flytrap nailed most of the ones I would have mentioned, but let me sprinkle in a few of my additions:

Indiana Jones: Last Crusade
Indiana Jones: Fate of Atlantis
Quest for Glory series
King's Quest 1 VGA remake
Space Quest series
Les Manley Lost in LA
Police Quest 1 VGA remake
Sanitarium
Loom
Spellcasting 101
Populous
Ultima VI

....and more I'm sure, but my boxes are buried in storage. This concludes my flashback to teenage years.

Master of Magic
X-Wing /w Expansion Packs
Doom II v1.9

Classics...especially Master of Magic.

I'm really surprised I haven't seen this on anyone else's list.

X-Com.

Great replay value in my opinion. Sure you know how it ends, but that's not the fun part.

Everquest..well its not that old and still very alive but it at times is like beta testing as it needs some major upgrades..like the shaman class needs some major twinking.

Some friends talked me into trying EQ recently. Ugh what a terrible time I had. I think part of it was that they wouldn't help me, but I had a lot of other frustrations too. The control system is awful.

I think maybe if I had gotten in when they did about 2 years ago I would have had a better time of it, but there's no way I can stick with it now.
