What are some thoughts? I thought it looked really sweet, but who knows what it will be really capable of and how well it will work.

I kinda want it bigger lol. But the keyboard interface is neat, similar to the maximus optimus keyboard. Other than that, it is being based on the Atom platform which is kinda scary. Atoms are nice but I would love to see a low voltage i-series or even Core 2 in there. That may change later on.

yeah that was the biggest worry I have is that they are saying they will use an atom. Sounds like it might be the perfect thing for a AMD Fusion

The fact that one of the promo pictures show Quake III Arena on it suggests that it's not very powerful right now.

You'd think that even an Atom processor could play something like Call of Duty or Unreal Tourney 2004 on low to mid settings.

It was also showed playing WOW, so I was a bit surprised by an atom doing that. I suppose the resolution doesn't have to be to high for it to look good on such a small screen though.

WoW doesn't require that powerful of hardware. That's how so many people are able to play it.

Not exactly. The demo they showed, for lack of a better term glorified the keyboard. Their goal it seems is to create a specific keyboard layout for each game. They might have chosen those specifically. (Popularity, flashiest icons)

The specs say they are using a new Atom chip, the Sandy Bridge one I believe.

So, apparently I am the only one who took heed in noting when they mentioned the word "prototype", and that they're using it as a base for licensing to other manufacturers to build switchblade-prototype-based handhelds. I noticed this lil guy as soon as they posted on facebook about it, since I'm a fan, lol. The concept they're using is downright awesome. It's up to manufacturers to utilize it properly. I believe we'll see a huge cornucopia of them doing just that. I welcome the idea openly and warmly.

They finally started releasing vids of gameplay footage. It's an advertisement video, naturally, but at least it shows actual game-play footage in it instead of pics.
