Just getting the 10 SMP reg cores done, so I can get my bonus points. GTX 570 goes in today and if I can find another cheap GFX card, might get the e6700 dual core hooked up and going.

You've done your homework, I see. Good plan on the 10 regular SMP WUs. But, as soon as those are done, you're gonna want bigadv. Man are you gonna want it!

Welcome back to the team, zodi! Glad to have you and your folding power!

Welcome back Zodi.

Just as an FYI, if your PSU can support it, you should be able to run that 260 in the same machine as the 570. Also, did you upgrade to the GPU3 client, or are you still running the GPU2 that was already installed with the 260?

260 and 570 are running together. 260 is about 7-8K PPD and the 570 is about 13K PPD
GPU2 and GPU3 respectively.

Sandy bridge is working on Big ADV units ad getting anywhere from 30-35K PPD 31-36 minutes a frame (depending if I am surfing the net or not)

Hey folks,

I just started folding, because I tend to keep my computers on for convenience and wanted to use those wasted cycles and energy on something worthwhile. My friend introduced me to the MaxPC team. Even though I haven't really browsed through the site too much up until now, it seems like a cool place to talk about comp hardware and get help, tips, leads, etc.

Right now I'm folding on the following builds:
Intel Q8300 (SMP, about 13 hours on past 2) with dual GTX 260s both slotted
Intel E6600 (SMP, about 26 hours on current) with dual Geforce 8800s both slotted
Phenom II N830 Triple core (SMP, 2/3 cores, about 24 hours on current), with ATI Radeon Mobility 5650 not slotted because it failed (yes, I tried latest drivers)

Anyway, just wanted to stop in and say "hi".

Happy folding :)

Hello all: how do i know if the work my computer is doing is being sent? also how long does it take to process the information
it downloads. My stats on computer are AMD Athlon2 x4 630 2.8 ghz , 4 GB ram, windows 7 64-bit, Nvidia geforce 210, Asus M4a79xtd evo MB and, Folding version 6.23. I know not much of a videocard, but I'm not a gamer.
