For an extremely primitive yet useful editor I recommend:SolveigMM AVI Trimmer
-– A totally free .avi editor that allows you to *Save* the parts you want while discarding the parts you don’t. Want to save more than one scene? No worries… run it as many times as you like on the original file. SolveigMM AVI Trimmer doesn’t change the original file, it saves changes to a new file/folder you designate. Once you have the multiple files saved, just use Windows Movie Maker to process them all together.
Original file not in .avi format? Again, no worries. Just use:Format Factory
-– Another totally free program that will convert ANY video format to .avi.
If I read your post correctly, that should help!
Edit: Now that I think about it, Windows Movie Maker has some of the same capabilities!
