Well it looks like my special agents were able to infiltrate David_Roe’s lab and take him down. Now of course my latest Intel is suggesting that you are looking at a GTX570. Unfortunately my doctrine of MAD will force me to answer this threat with a new deterrence.

Actually I’m impressed of how I get in striking distance and then you mange to pull away just a little bit. A few days ago it was saying I would pass you in 2 days, now we are back to a week. You must be running the AC to keep those machines from melting. :)

I just don't turn on any other heat! And the 10-day forecast for my area shows no temps above freezing.

I noticed David Roe dropped off my threat list yesterday. I still haven't seen hide nor hair of him in the forum. With output like he was maintaining, I hope this is just a brief pause for him.

I might have to scale back some OC to keep everything happy with my 750W PSU after I get the 570. I take a try-it-and-see attitude on that for now. **crosses fingers**

The cat and mouse game has been fun to watch. Your PPD on the between-bigadv days is much higher than mine, which has caught you up to me fairly fast. The big spikes on my chart are spaced so that one day it looks like I'm doing well over 40K, then a couple days later it shows mid-30's.

Fold on!! Still 70+ for us to overtake before a victor is declared.

Our foe (not really, that's faux), David_Roe, found his get up and go. He's re-started slow, but we know he can do mo'.

JLHHHHHH!!!!!!

[/CaptKirktoKhanvoice]

I don't know how you did it, but I just checked my HFM report, only to find my main rig has been down for nearly 5 hours.

It probably would have cost me nearly 9 hours of folding time by the time I got home. Luckily, just last week I installed Teamviewer. It looks like the machine re-started and I don't have scripts for restarting the clients, nor have I set them up as a service. Maybe it's time to do that.

Anyway, back to full power for now.

Yes I sent a Ninja assassin on a one way mission and it looks like he was successfully
My Night Recon unit seems to have fixed my David_Roe problem

[Jaws theme song]

Currently 33,577 points keeps me away. 1.2 days of course I believe you will drop another large point soon (unless another Ninja makes it through your defense grid)

It was on schedule to drop around 1:00 this afternoon. It's about 3 hours away now.

Still up and running.

Just checked it.

You sir have been passed. Granted I think we will have a round of back and forth like two battleships exchanging broadsides. The race is on.

I miscalculated. 12 PM update. Even at that, I'm not sure I can hang on much longer. My PPD is showing low on HFM.

I did! I'm still fiddling with the configuration. Having 2 Fermis in the same rig has eaten into my SMP bigadv PPD, and it only gets worse with OC. I'm trying a few combinations to see what gives the overall best return.

I have my doubts I can hold you off for long. We're leap-frogging one another when the bigadv units get returned, but you're still gaining ground. Unless I can find a magical setting that keeps my SMP folding high while OCing the crap out of the GPUs, I think you will pass me for good eventually.

Still 68 ranks to climb. Fold on!

What happened, jlh?

Over a week since your last bigadv and now a major speed bump in the last 24 hours. Whatever the problem, I hope you've got it fixed.

Maybe you're just giving me some line to run with before you reel me in.

Yeah that's it

No I've had some issue with my bigadvance WUs. Missed two of them. I think everything will be back at full production here. So hopefully the race is back on.

I was never going to maintain the level of performance I was putting out at the time this thread was made, even if my other PC hadn't gotten messed up prematurely.

Said PC will be re-built & re-purposed after I get back from the Bahama's and will no longer be folding... this was planed about 4 months ago, before I thought of my little challenge even. It'll be in my band's practice studio for audio recording & editing duties without internet access.

Not to mention that I'm actually using the new PC now, which is a 4,000 - 12,000 hit to ppd depending on what I'm doing and how long it takes. It was sitting idle during my challenge, so ppd was maxed out.

So... in short... I may or may not make top 100 by end of the year, but I'm rooting for the rest of ya!!!

That's cool. What genre of music is your band? If you ever upload a sample to YouTube or somewhere I'll give a listen.

I hope to see you increase your PPD again!
In the next few days I will have a batch of
transcodes to do so I understand how much
of a loss in PPD that can be.

RATZ.. I guess I have to root for the others now.
