Ive been thinking of attending either ITT or Art Institute but was wondering if companies actually recognize the degrees from these schools. Also if anyones attended these schools if they are worth the money and effort. Any info would be most appreciated

Honestly, I would choose to attend a 4 year university rather than a 2 year tech school like this. ITT Tech has been under a lot of scrutiny regarding the education, facilities, books, professors, etc and they cost a TON of money (in some cases $40,000/year, which you could get a comparable but cheaper education at a local community college for much less).

You might want to read some of the reviews at StudentsReview.com.

hackman2007, types the truth. Research and then decide. I would not and go with a 4 year degree.

On the flipside I know lots of people that have graduated from ITT and have landed them really sucessful jobs. I'm sitting between two ITT graduates right now actually. Personally I'd stick with a traditional college though.

did they make it clear to you that they were not an accredited institution. They should post this information everywhere. If so, I’m surprised you didnt look at their accreditation before you went, thats the #1 thing i looked for in a private school. You need to gather all the information from all your class catalogs for any disclaimers stating their accreditation, compare it to other private schools such as devry in dallas or irving, Art Institute of dallas, etc.
