Right now I am folding at full tilt.

Pentium D 3.3 GHz SMP
Core 2 Duo 2.1 Ghz SMP
Celeron Dual Core 2.5 GHz SMP
Athlon II x4 2.8 GHz SMP (using -SMP 3 flag)
ATI 5770 1 GB
GeForce 9600 GSO 512 MB
GeForce 8800 GTS 512 MB
GeForce 450 1 GB

The 9600 I got off graigslist for $20.00. my wife got me a Newegg gift card for Christmas, I used that to get the 450. The 8800 was a surprise Christmas gift. I had also been running 5 unicore clients, but since they at best gave me 500 PPD, i shut them down. So right now, according to the hfm.net application, I am pulling in 22+k PPD.

You will very likely win. I can maybe find a few graphics cards in craig's list, but the cash is already spoken for. I got my 9600 GSO as payment for doing some work on a coworker's crippled rig. (Plus his rig also became my slave for a week after it's reformat was done, it raked in a decent 10k PPD for me). My how times change.

However, if I can talk my boss down to $120 for the dual 9800 GT kit he just got into the shop, I may decide to grab that and then possibly get an ULV Athlon II x4 to put into my old Asus M2N-MX SE Plus with another foldworthy card.

Found out that a 9800 GTX I have has a bad V-Reg only and that if I solder a new one on and replace the thermal paste, it should work. :D Of corpse, this may all be too little too late. :?

You never know, sometimes things can change very quickly. But I must say i did not expect to get so caught up in this folding thing. I would not have devoted as much to folding if not for the competition that we have been in. It is very addictive and its for a good cause, so no matter what its a good thing that we are doing.

I have been looking into getting a second folding setup going and there are some intriguing prospects out there... I have found a person nearby that is selling his AM2+ with dual PCI-E, a Phenom x4 9950 BE, 4gb of Corsair Domminator, and an ATi Radeon HD 4870 1gb for about $350. I already have a few ideas for it, but dont have the cash. Still, I never would have thought of it before now.

Very addicting and fun.

Closing in on the 500 mark. Assuming I have no computer issues, I should reach 500 in 24 to 30 hours.

Thanks Jake. I must say it was fun and if not for the competition, I would still be folding at about 4k ppd. Now i am looking sideways at Zoey. he is hitting a good stride and will pass me inside of a week. But at the end of this month, watch out.

Secret weapons??? Nice.
I may have to spring for a GTX 460 or two in the months to come.
Tax season approaches and I want some new hardware!

I will be trading up my Phenom x4 9850 Black Edition @ 3.1ghz which is it's
max stable clock speed (and it's paltry 4k PPD) for a Phenom II x4 965 Black
Edition (~7600-8200 PPD) which I may clock as high as 4.2ghz, but not until
I get an H50/70 Closed-loop.

That would have an impact on the heat problem....that was a typo...I meant to say quad 470s even though I doubt that materially changes your response.

Sucha wowzer Ted.

Zoey: Get an old dryer out-take vent, clean the lint out of it, put a dust filter on the outside intake area (where the shroud is so moisture does not get in), and pipe the cool air directly to the F@H setup. You may need a couple of hi-flow fans in the pipeline to draw sufficient air to the setup, and make sure you do not make the outside intake the soul intake option, this way if the fans stop or the hose/dust-filter get clogged, you still do not burn up your 470's. I had a friend in colorado in the time of the Athlon FX and Pentium 4 showdowns who did this same thing and during the winter, his overclocked setup stayed nice a cool.
