Yep. I have a 212+ in my i7. I've picked up 3 (limit for MIR). I'll use them eventually. I also picked up some Tuniq TX-4 for $10 a tube + free shipping

http://www.platinummicro.com/product.asp?pf_id=CPTNTX4

very good deal!

google does wonders. I usually just go for what's on the egg, but I saw some paste quoted on a review site for $5 that was around 12-15 on the egg after shipping (I don't remember if it was the TX-4).

You guys should get the dynamite deals extension if your running chrome. When you go to a website is searches the item your looking at and if it comes up with other sites then you can see if its going for cheaper anywhere. Works pretty slick.

I remember AtlasFolder was experimenting with that mobo for his systems from watching his videos. I think he had problems with it.

I plan to use it for folding, but only so far; it's supposed to be able to run all four PCI-E slots at full x16 2.0 bandwidth, but as I have yet to find a motherboard under $200 with those chops, I doubt that this one, $90, has the chops. Still, it's leagues better than this:
Asus M2N-MX SE Plus AM2 (only 95-watt support :( )

Baby steps, Ted.

Baby steps.

Actually, if you bother to scroll down that Foxconn page a little bit, you would see that with 4 PCIe Graphics cards installed, those 4 slots operate at 8x each. Of course, that's plenty for folding purposes.

I seeeeee... Still a good board for what I have planned.
I also need to figure out how many watts a Phenom 9850 will draw when overclocked to 3.1ghz and at full bore. I know that it will draw 125 at 2.5ghz at full bore...

It would be nice to know how not to burn out my new motherboard before it arrives.

I'd recommend a lower wattage cpu. I think that you already have the cup though. Looks fun for the board though. get 4x GTX 460s or 450s eventually (I'd recommend the 460s, but the 450s are pretty good too). I'm getting 6.5k ppd on my 450 vs 10.5k on my 460 (both on 6011 units, the worst PPD to date units). Wattage wise, price wise, and point wise, both are really close, but the five digit vs four digit return of PPD is nice. The 460s do get through the 6011 units much nicer than the 450s (duh).

GTS 450:
6.5k PPD
$95 (after MIR) = ~68 PPD/$
~110 Watts = ~59 PPD/Watt

GTX 460:
10.5k PPD
$140 (after MIR) = 75 PPD/$
~160 Watts = ~66 PPD/Watt

These numbers are more accurate than my previous postings of numbers. I have more actual numbers to work with.

I have owned several of them
pretty much OEM stuff for the most part
nothing sexy like asus or the big names
but pretty solid stuff

never had any complaints

That would be a Creamsicle. There is some gauntlet history that goes with that, so I've read.

Long Term Creamsicles. I occasionally get the odd hair to read things which have been laid to rest or mildly forgotten. It's a shame, I bet that if they got back together for F@H, we could attract a few more die-hards to the cause.
