Titles spells it out.

I bought a linksys e3000 wireless router, got my laptop running off it it just fine, but when I try to get my xbox to connect it finds and connects to the router but fails to connect to the internet and subsequently cant connect to xbox live of course.

I've crawled all over good looking for a solution but generaly have only found people with NAT issues that may and more not be my issue. Dont think so but I dont know, networks are not my forte'.

Have you tried contacting Linksys through their live chat support concerning this issue? I can vouch for this service as I used it when I encountered difficulty setting up one of their refurbished wireless print servers last December and the chat service representative (who was located in India) was extremely helpful and came through for me with flying colors. I have heard complaints by others for not being able to access their support via phone, but I feel that the chat support service allows you to communicate with a knowledgeable support representative without the hurdle of trying to decipher what the support rep is attempting to communicate through a foreign accent.

BTW, how are you trying to connect the XBox to the router? Wired (through an Ethernet cable) or wirelessly?
