I have office 2010, but the school I go to only has 2000 and the affects that I have wont work. Is there any portable powerpoint viewer that I could run from my flash drive to show my power point with all the right colors and affects?

Thanks!

I have used Google. Plus the link that you posted requires that I install it to the computer. I have already attempted to make it portable.

Sounds like you're looking for this...

IIRC, having a portable viewer (or even converting to a stand-alone exe) isn't going to solve this and the subject computers still need the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack (or Powerpoint 2007) still installed.....and even then, I'm not certain if the effects you're talking about will show up.

I would say your best bet would be to save the file in the 97-2003 version. The program will alert you when saving if you chose something that won't work.

Try Open Office portable. It will work on some PPT files but it is a bit of a crap shoot.

Wait, you can't publish a PowerPoint anymore? Ever since using I've been using PowerPoint, there was always been an option to publish it to a CD/DVD. Hell, I just publish it to a folder then move it to a flash drive. Done and done.

Alternately you could talk to the professor about getting the M$ viewer installed on the computers in the classroom. It's a freebie so there would be no cost other than the time to download and install it.
