My latest Win7 installation;

Intel Pentium 4HT (3.0 GHz)
MSI Neo (Intel 956PE chipset)
2 Gig RAM
Nvidia Personal Cinema FX5700
80GB Maxtor HDD
Windows 7 RC1

I did have a little duh-problem with the sound, (tried to install wrong driver  ) but the whole thing was set-up including a good stable of applications under 1.5 hours. (Thanks MPC of giving me the idea of consolidating several my apps on one disk.) and it seems to be running faster than it did on XP. I'm debating now if it would be worth purchasing the full version for it.

Oh the TV part doesn't work.

Installed with almost no problems on my HP dv5t laptop:

Windows 7 x64
Intel Core 2 Duo P8600
4GB ram
NVidia Geforce 9600M GT
Intel Wifi Link 5100AGN
Realtek RTL8168C Gigabit ethernet
memory card reader
blu-ray drive

I haven't had a chance to try out the bluetooth yet. Many of the system level drivers weren't picked up as they were listed with exclamation marks in the device manager, but were still running on the generic drivers. However a simple driver update scan of my c:\ (i'm dual booting with vista) and everything picked up and worked with correct drivers.
Hey does your laptop have thefingerprint reader? If so does it work with Win7 64 bit? I have a dv5z and thinking about upgrading

This hasn't been updated in a while, probably because Win7 already came out, but I just installed the RTM on my machine a week ago, so I'll toss in results for that:
Asus P5Q3 motherboard:
only thing on it that didn't work perfectly out of the box was the audio- it worked, but installing the Realtek drivers rendered a very noticeable increase in sound quality.
Core 2 Quad Q9300 @3.5Ghz
4GB DDR3 1333
Seagate 7200.11 640GB HDD
ATi Radeon HD 4870 1GB
Catalyst 9.9 & 9.10 both work, but I had one major complaint- for some reason the option to scale up and keep aspect ratio for lower-res 4:3 games was gone. It was there with the same setup in XP and Vista. I haven't seen if 9.11 brings this back yet.
D-Link eXtremeN USB wifi adapter- works at full wireless N speeds out-of-the-box.
Logitech G11 & G5 drivers work fine.
Windows Experience Index:
Processor: 7.4
RAM: 7.4
Graphics: 7.5
Gaming Graphics: 7.5
Primary Hard Disk: 5.9 (painful compared to the rest of the scores. those old 7200.11s aren't particularly fast)
Toshiba Satellite A215-S4817:
Turion64 X2 1.9Ghz
2GB DDR2 667
Mobility Radeon X1200 128MB- newest drivers that still support this is 9.3, which comes only in vista form. Downloaded those, they work fine.
Atheros integrated Wireless-G
Works fine out-of-the-box. Doesn't even complain when you hit the hard switch.
Fingerprint scanner
Works with drivers on toshiba website.
160GB 5400RPM HDD
DVD+RW Drive
Realtek audio results were the same as on the desktop- quality is better with the Realtek drivers then with the Windows drivers.
Windows Experience Index:
Processor: 4.5
RAM: 5.5
Graphics: 3.3
Gaming Graphics: 3.3
Primary Hard Disk: 4.8
