Where do you buy your books? I typically use Amazon, but didn't know if there was better. I have 2 classes starting up here within the next 2 weeks and I need to pick up 2 books. I didn't have to do this while with University of Phoenix, but now that I'm with a traditional college again (Utica, thankfully), they actually use real books and not online books that you don't even get to keep.

Any help/suggestions are appreciated.

I don't get text books, but all of my technical books come from Amazon. Occasionally if I'm impatient and a local Barnes&Noble or Borders has what I'm looking for then I'll spend the extra cash on something without shipping.

Check if your college book store has a price match guarantee. If they do, that may be your best option.

With my school, they would give you 10% of the price difference and meet the price of online resellers such as Amazon (Amazon itself, not a third party on Amazon).

I've always bought from B&N...there's a bunch of them around my office/home and I'm a member so theyre comparably priced to Amazon plus no waiting. If the above conditions don't apply to you then I guess Amazon.

I got my books while in college from miscellaneous book marketplaces that used Asian/Indian resellers that sold international editions on the cheap, but that was for a chemical engineering program, not sure international editions exist for cert books.
