Maximum PC

I was installing windows 7 and did the unthinkable. Over 300GB of important files, music, etc. I tried a product called "Kernel Recovery for FAT + NTFS" with no luck. Then used "EASEUS Data Recovery" and was able to recover 99% of all my files. What a great product!

Makes you want to go smack your thumb with a hammer when you pull a stunt like that huh???

I've had great success with NTFS Undelete. My big winner though is TestDisk. It can actually restore borked partitions for you as well as recovering just pure data. Did I mention it's free?

Made me rethink how I sell used hard drives on Ebay! MPC should do a review or at least an article on this.

When I saw the title I wondered who you were complaining about; wondering who deleted your partition.

I think they have (to a point) but it may be a concern of security for some, especially those who aren't quite as smart to full format their drives (2 or 3 times) before re-selling them. I think that's probably why they haven't really gone into this, although the did mention a few apps to do basic data recovery over the past two or so years.
