Since I'm so broke right now, I'm seriously thinking of making a ghetto water cooled rig out in the garage just for shits and giggles. The way we used to in the old days that is. Except I'd buy a water block. I wouldn't want to use the old school blocks we were using in the mid 90's. LOL!

I'm still collecting parts.

I've got several projects on the go and summer has arrived, which means that I'm not indoors unless the sun is down ... the PC always takes a backseat during the warm months. :)

Quake .. let us know what you rig up!

Right now, I have this medical cooler you get when you have surgeries that require icing down the surgical area afterwards. It has an internal pump and you can put Ice in the cooler then fill it with water. I'm thinking of just using an old ass LGA775 water block I have, a Thermaltake one, and seeing what it does for my Q6600 in the garage.

I'm worried about condensation though.

I don't run AC .. gives me a headache.

My PC takes a backseat in the summer .. climbing, running, hiking, and surfing are all FAR more fun than overclocking a PC.

Protip: chicks like tans that aren't orange and guys with hobbies that don't involve more acronyms than the military.

Unless you find a chick that has an orange tan and also likes hobbies that involve more acronyms than the military :D

You snooze, you lose ... looks like Murphy wrote this article for me. I guess this is what happens when you get distracted by real life. :P

Of course, I violated Journalist Rule#1: don't share story ideas until after you're published.
