With just a little over a week to go, it is time to start the thread of the year. The thread that will go down in infamy. The thread that will be stickied to The Gauntlet for all eternity. The thread dedicated to this year's monkey fest!.... er I mean ape extravaganza!..... no, wait.... CHIMP CHALLENGE! Yea that's it!

So come on all of you men and women, children, and monkeys!

Come in here and get your fold on with all of the other F@H teams participating this year!

As a true & original monkey, I take absolutely zero issue in starting the party a week early. And I know the rest of you won't either!

Chimp Challenge 2010 Rules:

1. First team to accumulate 20,000,000 points from the start time wins.
Every other team will then battle it out for their final positions all the way to the finish line.
2. Start time for the contest is Wednesday, May 5th at 12pm, Pacific Daylight Time (UTC -7).
3. The victor gets to claim the lucky jaded monkey as the prize.
Tales have been told of untold wealth and fame that comes with this.
The victorious team is allowed to display in any honorary fashion the jaded monkey, the losing teams are forbidden to display it.
The losing teams are bestowed the dreaded monkey's paw, which is said to be cursed.
People have been known for have very bad luck with this paw!
4. Team captains are as follows:

OCAU - Captain: leroyxx
OCN - Captain: mortimersnerd
EVGA - Captain: l337h4l
CPC & bit-tech - Captain: coolamasta
Hardware Canuks - Captain: chriskwarren
TSC! Russia - Captain: Hil
Tech Power Up - Captain: BUCK NASTY
5. In the event of a close race, a Stanford daily_user_summary.txt file will be the official source for points information.
6. Only team captains are allowed to make changes to rules.
7. The official folding names are:
OCF - T32monkeys
MaxPC - maximum_monkey
OCAU - Monkey_Bollocks
OCN - OCNChimpin
EVGA - EVGApes
CPC & bit-tech - CustomBitChimps
Hardware Canuks - Beavers_Gone_Bananas
TSC! Russia - TSCh!mp
Tech Power Up - ChimPowerUp
8. Have fun and keep it positive.

My official prediction for this year is as follows:


In 1st place, MAXIMUMPC!

In last place, OCF, OCAU, OCN, EVGA, CPC & bit-tech, Hardware Canuks, TSC! Russia, & Tech Power Up.

*Sigh*.... Monkeys in a 68... Every day I think the world can't get stranger. Every day I'm wrong. But then again I come here every day. Coincidence?

maximum_monkey will be so far ahead, the other Chimps will never hear the champagne cork. They will also miss the sound of the can tab and cap twist; in fact the sound of any other alcohol restraining device sacrificing its seal at the victory bar. They'll be left with just enough food and drink left to smell... maybe. Talkin' about monkeys here, so there are sure to be many other err... competing olfactory experiences.

they had many fights n arguments about it last year and it resulted in quite a few folders quitting the team, so i think they have declined to enter this year.
