Hi there,

I recently went to install the Folding @ Home GPU client and all was fine, but suddenly the machine blue screened, i restarted and uninstalled the GPU client, but now my cards are running HOT! i left my desk to take care of my animals the GPU temp was 90 degrees celcius, so i figured i'll let it run idle for a bit t cool it off, well i came back and its now 95 degrees celcius (203 farenheit) please help!

Thanks,
Hiremenow

The F@H clients run automatically at startup if you're running in the system tray client. Right-click on the systray FAH icon and click exit. That should make sure that's what the problem is at least.

If he has nVidia cards could it be that driver problem they recently had?

It could, that's why he should make sure its not that F@H isn't automatically running at startup without him noticing.

i uninstalled the client. and i checked into the driver predicament that happened a while back, and i believe it was with 196.21 i'm running 197.13 but i shut down the system for about an hour it cooled off considerably but that 1 gpu is still about 12 degrees celcius hotter than the other. Dual GeForce 8800GT's by the way lol
