Sager notebooks amounts to basically nothing more than a scam. I purchased an extremely expensive laptop for college, and I am left in the cold. The keyboard broke, and they tried to charge me 50 bucks for a new one (still in warranty). It took me months to get them to ship me the keyboard so I could install it myself for free. Then my webcam broke, and when they took the case apart to reattach the wiring, they put permanent pressure marks on my screen in the form of a hand print. They refuse to acknowledge any wrongdoing, and will not replace the screen. Even the attorney general gave up on them. They have utterly useless and rude customer support, bad driver support, and care nothing for the customer. Avoid them at any cost. I've never been so frustrated with a company before.

This is why the BBB gave them an F rating. It's a shame, because they offer excellent laptops at great prices... but yeah, I've known about this for a while and will not ever recommend a Sager laptop to someone.

I know this is off the topic, but how did the keyboard break? Those don't usually break :? .

I honestly forget which key it was, but it got pressed a lot during programming (I have to do matlab for my gen eng requirements)- I think it was the multiply sign. anyway it just one day disconnected at one end, and fell off shortly after. I didn't abuse it or anything, and didn't hit it THAT often. I think it was just one of those things, and it wouldn't have been a big deal if I didn't have to fight them over it. They didn't even need to do labor, just send me a new keyboard to install.

Gotcha.

My former roommate broke one of the keys on his laptop as well (except he dropped a book on it LOL). It was the backspace key.

That's sad because Sagar use to be one of my favorites. Times change though and the way I see them is just sliding down the ropes to despair. It still looks like good hardware, but support could pick up the ball and easily lift them out of the gutter...at least in this case.
