So I bought myself a 5750 and need some ideas on how to turn off this damned unsupported hardware water mark I have in the corner of my screen.

To better describe this, there's a ~ 2 inch opaque square (probably 50% transparent) in the bottom right of my screen with an AMD Logo on the top and unsupported hardware underneath it. The drivers seem to work fine with the card

I'm running 9.11 on Opensuse 11.2 with the drivers coming from their ATI repository. 9.12 doesn't seems to be available yet, although I have doubts it'll change how the card is ID'd

I saw that one....admittedly, I'm not so trusting of a hack like that

I think I found a cleaner solution here...I extracted the files from ATI's site via the --extract flag and copied

~/common/etc/ati/config to /etc/ati and restarted X
