 Post subject: Peer Guardian alternative ??

I have windows 7 and peer duardian doesnt work on it, is there any alternatives ??

after i install it i get an error message with driver signature ??

It's because you are on 64bit, and Peer Guardian is 32bit only. This is a workaround:

Disable UAC > reboot > download DSEO 1.2 (should be the first link on Google) > patch C:\Program Files\PeerGuardian2\pgfilter.sys with the tool and set the system to test mode, with the tool > then reboot.

PeerBlock.

PeerGuardian will randomly crash under extreme loads on my old, crappy system.

To add to the above post, here is a link to PeerBlock. Its build from the Peer Gaurdian source code and made for different versions of Windows including 32 and 64 bit versions of Vista and 7 which PG didn't support.

I personally use PeerBlock and have no complaints. No more crashes and seems to work as good as original PG2, if not better.
