Got a Gateway mx6920 laptop that had water spilled on it. As far as I can tell it's been thoroughly dried. I took it apart as far as I felt comfortable and found no wet spots inside. It has been a week or so since the incident. Also checked under the keyboard and every place I could access looks dry however it won't start. I hit the power button and the power light comes on and the fan turns for about five seconds then stops. The power light stays on but nothing else happens. Any ideas on where to go next with this?

Not sure if you are still encountering this problem, but for future reference, the best way to "dry out" a laptop that's been dunked is to stick it in a bag filled with dry rice. The rice will absorb the excess mositure from the laptop, essentially drying out the inside of your notebook without having to tear it down.
