Very cool forums! How long have these been here? I've just been using my bookmarked link to the commport forums. I hope it's not double-posting to post my question again here. Anyway...
Word 2003 problem. If anybody can help me with it, I'd be very greatful.
The law office I'm working in is using Word 2003 with three printers. Users need to be able to open "boilerplate" documents shared on a server, customize them, and print them on the nearest printer. The documents need to print their first page on pre-printed letterhead and all subsequent pages on bond paper.
I've had no trouble setting this up for any single printer. I inserted a section break between pages and in each section, I specified which printer tray to use.
My problem is that when printing to a different printer, the document reverts to Automatically Selecting the paper type and consequently printing on cheap copier paper.
I need to tell Word to print the first page on Letterhead, no matter what printer you're using, no matter which tray it's found in. We could to this previously with Word Perfect 8, so I'd think there would be a way to do it with Word.
Thanks again for any help.
