Does anyone know of a school that specializes in computer building? I do it know on my own but I am looking for formal education.

I thought you would need a degree to apply for a good job building computers for someone or some company. Really i'm looking for info on how to find a job doing that.

I can only think of Tech Schools which have a computer maintenance class. They allow you to remove/replace components in defective computers.

That would be a very limited school. Just take a community college course on PC maintenance. You aren't gonna find a school dedicated to computer building because that is just plugging in components. Do you really need a formal education in that?

Just read a few guides online, and watch a few youtube videos.

That's step one. Doing it yourself is your next big step. Once you do it, you'll realize how easy it there.

A whole school for it? A class at your local community college is perfectly sufficient. As volatile said, and he's absolutely right in this, it's just plugging things in.

Taking any A+ Class will go over computer building.

New Horizions I know does this and they have schools all over the country.
