| I recently bought an ATI Radeon HD 4870. I am running Vista and have SP2. My PC will play Crysis: Warhead, but it will not play any other games (Empire: Total War, Star Wars: Empire at War, Half Life 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum), giving me an error message that I need shader model 4.0 or better. I have tried a direct download of DX and it still doesn't work. I have also have the latest drivers for my videocard. Can someone help me? |

| It might just be bad drivers. Clean it out with Driver sweeper, reboot, go into safe mode, clean again, then boot and reinstall the drivers again and see if that helps. |

| Have you tried installing updates for your games? Also, you might want to uninstall and reinstall your games for safe measure. Make sure you back up your saved files first. |

| All games are on Steam and all are up to date. I will try reinstalling and reply later. |
