Maximum PC

Anyone using Google Voice? I'm very curious about it, and I finally got an invite. I also see that I can port my cell phone's vm to it.

Will I have the option to revert to my old voicemail if I don't like it? I'm curious about people's experiences w/ google voice. Thanks.

I currently use google voice for my business line. Not sure if this will help but I will point out a few thing that I like and don't like.

Pros:
Keeps personal calls separate from business calls
Can either display number calling or google voice number (so far this has helped tremendously to keep my minutes down since I just added it to my circle)
Allowed me to get rid of vonage
send sms messages as well as calls
Transcribes voicemails and texts them to me

Cons:
no good program for my windows mobile phone to use with google voice so I just have to use internet explorer, not the fastest method
No pc phone, like skype (not sure if i would use it but would like the option)
not really accurate with the transcipts

i don't use the google vm on my phone. I hate checking voicemails and since it texts me I just use the google vm.

I like the fact that it can ring both my cell and home phone when I get a call. Also, if I'm on the computer, I can do my texting there instead of with the phone.

All my calls and texts are also logged on the cloud, so I don't lose them with a phone wipe.

One thing I don't like is that the text doesn't come instantly to my phone. The best you can do is set it to refresh every 5 minutes to check for new messages. If you opt to forward it to your cell #, you get them instantly, but I'm not a fan of the workaround.
