hell, I was your boat a couple days ago before I got my CPU going consistently. I haven't even caught you yet. You'll find something else that will send me scrambling again. It will still take another day or two and then we will do that leap frog thing for a while. It will probably come down to that.

Maybe. I think my cpu client has been causing the crashes, so if it keeps running smoothly, I'm gonna OC the crap outta everything, and hope its not too late. My moms also got a PC that I think I'll recruit. Just till the race is over though, then the clocks get toned back a lil, and the parents PCs will prolly be taken offline. We will see what happens...

So, our rules are any hardware we can get our hands on is fair game, correct? So we can't ask forum members for help, but any old PCs, family ones, whatever else you can get to, is good?

humm... I'd say that is fine, as long as you have physical position of the machine, no long distance recruiting, that could just turn into a shit show, good for science I suppose though.

Although, I feel like I need to give you the heads up, my roommate is a computer engineer, if we want to start bringing in other stuff he has a beastly Alienware that is starting to look awfully tempting. AND a netbook, I heard those Atoms can fold like you wouldn't believe

What type of computer is it? I'll see if he has one to match so we can still keep it close, I don't want to add a i7 with a GTX275 no fun in racing then.

As you can see, that 2 day spike of mine is over  back down to 4k a day ish

we also need to decide how we are going to end this. Are we going off points from FAH website that would put is in the top 1000 or whoever gets ranked on EOC in the top 1000 first? The difference being if we're really close it might come down to the pages updating and when FAH records or receives your WU, especially if we are just hoping over each other like we were there for a while.

Atoms can fold decent, really? I was just gonna try and get one GTS250 on my side. If I don't do something, I'm screwed, you passed me up by 1000, I'm on your threats list, but thats just cuz 6-7 days ago I was faster than you. Also, anytime I OC, my machine dies thats why my PPD is so low recently, haven't been running.

EOC team rank 1000 or better. Thats what they use for badges I think anyways. I say if it is close, winner takes screenshots and posts them as proof.

I was just kidding about the atoms, I'm sure they would melt trying to get 100ppd.

Not going to lie, I did a little dance after I got out of the shower and saw they updated and I was in front. I'll youtube it next time for the world to see, been taking ballroom dance classes lately so I'm getting good, nothing says overtake like a naked hustle.

Sounds good, got to figure out how to add pictures on here well in advance. What happens if we both cross the 1k line in the same update? Whom ever has the most points then I suppose.

I lost two WU today trying to get a little bit more out of my GPU, I bumped the shaders up just one notch and it crashed 15 minutes later, then again when I put my core and memory clocks to low.

I am tryin something now on my cpu. its my last chance. You losing those WUs will prolly help me. I also have all the slow CPUs about ready to finish some WUs in the next couple days, It'll be close.

Do we wanna call it by most points, or just say it was one helluva race, call it a draw. The chances of that are insanely low, but could happen. Its up to you.

If I get lucky GPU WUs, I could still win, we will see...

Also, just so we are clear, as of now there are no PCs not owned by ourselves folding. I don't need you runnin that alienware now, while I am stuck with what I got. IF i plan to recruit help, I will tell you in advance. I think I may be ok for now though.

I still think it will be a close race, you pulled back ahead, for now. I'm working in a couple larger WU so I won't have points until this afternoon, need to get another 6k day or two.

Correct, not running any hardware not owned by myself.

between 5200 and 4600, usually closer to 4800, my laptop is pretty consistent at about 300. You're well on your way to one hell of a day, 4k by 9am

you added another client, you didn't hit up mommy now did you?

The new magic number is now 116,232 one has to be > = , top 1000 is <1000 right? So 999 or better. Currently EOC has you getting there in 1.6 weeks and me in 1.7, 16 hour difference, that is going off Chandler583 threats list (we're 2 and 3 on his list), although I believe I just past you again.

opreda is a little ahead of us at 96K with an avg 5k ppd, possible race partner for later

Yay, I'm on grims list!

You keep basing days left on current numbers, but if you click on "users future" in EOC stats on the left, you can type in the number of days, and it will predict EVERYONE, so you can see where you will be, even when they move.

Yea, I did add moms, but its worthless, 250ppd if its on, but its only 2 hours a day, so I've already stopped using it (20ppd isn't worth it). I'm only actively using 7 clients, so that number should be dropping soon.

I'm currently freeing up some disk space now, C drive is full, hoping that plus a defrag may do more help than damage, prolly wont though since its all based on power not storage.

I made a folder (file system folder, not dedicated folder...) entitled "folding last chance" If this doesnt work, as the name implies, I'm done, but it may just hold me long enough to barely win.

sadly when I saw that graph I wanted to find the area under the line to get the total number of points using integrals from Calculus II then find the area under my graph but above yours to find our pt difference. Sigh...

Defraging is one hell of a Hail Mary. Seems like the CPU usage would hurt more then you would gain. I very much so dislike the new defrag in Vista, I miss the red, blue and green squares of old.

My folding started off a little rough but then smoothed out, I'm sure I'm due for a core to fail, power outage, or something to go.
