I got an MSI u123 in August, around $300, nice netbook, fast battery lasts longer than I do.
Fast forward one month, a little problem, the fan made noise for the first 5 seconds when starting up. I did register the product and figured I would see about how good the service was, see I am the office cooler geek etc and people actually ask me to recommend computer products for them and service is certainly important.
I figured at 300 bucks maybe service would be so so, But that was not the case.
I sent in an e-mail on thursday afternoon, Friday morning I had an RMA number.
The next monday I overnighted it to the service center. tuesday morning I got an e-mail that the computer arrived intact and was being processed. Wednesday morning I got another note, we have found the problem and the computer is in the repair center. Wednesday afternoon, another note, computer is fixed and boxed for shipment. I received it on Friday afternoon perfectly repaired.
Long story short, I have spent much more and got much less in terms of service. This is one of the best service experiences I have every had.
