 Post subject: your favorite LIVE CD as a tool

Hey all !

I'm just wondering whats your favorite linux LIVE CD that you use as a tool ?

Mine is PCLinuxOS2007 Gnome edition. I like it because it allows me to login as ROOT (which is very important), then I can edit system files, rename, restore xorg, etc.
It also has Gparted.

However the boot time is pretty bad.

Thats why I wanted to know whats your favorite linux live cd. I think I want to try something light (like puppy linux) but I don't know if theres a LIVE CD and if i can log in as ROOT.

I usually use knoppix, although the Arch install CD seems to work well for me too.

My personal favorite for recovery and repair is vector linux, it is slim, fast and awesome.

Puppy Linux on a USB key is a great way to determine if it's hardware or just another broken Windows installation.

i gotta try that :) but so far I'm using austrumi on usbkey (its latvian)
