Lug it around? I take my Dell with me all the time. And it's about 2 inches thick! It's a monster. I don't mind carrying it. It's so worth it.

Your right, I would love to lug around a 4k, 2.3 in thick, 12lb monster that has my life in it everywhere.

Heh, maybe you need to go to the gym! I'm 6' 240 Lbs. A 15 lb backpack is nothing. I've taken it all over the world on my travels. I just need money to get a new one to replace my 2004 Dell. =)

15lbs is nothing. My backpack is 30 or 35 lbs when fully loaded. Textbooks are heavy.

I'd love this thing if it wasn't for Vista.

I've been patiently waiting for Win7 to come out because hopefully it will solve some of my problems with Vista (Treo syncs, serial connections, printer shit, etc).

Anyway, I don't lug it around at all. I have an Eee PC 901 for any mobile shit that needs to be done. However the 64GB SuperTalent SSD I jammed in there died after 5 months so I'm going to test their RMA department in the next few days (SSD supposedly has a 2 year warrenty).

Anyway, back to the D900F. Gaming is awesome on it (despite Vista), AutoCAD was smooth as butter, the thing puts generates between 6 to 8 thousand points per day for F@H, and I'm only running it at 80% of all the cores+HT. The screen is beautiful, as long as you have no vision problems you can keep it at the native resolution. Some people complain about everything being tiny on a high resolution screen, if you're like that, skip this laptop. I personally want as much real estate on my screen as possible. The scrolling track pad is nice, never had one of them before.

I think my only gripe is that Clevo moved some keys around on their full size laptop keyboards and now I have to hit a function key to do Page Up or Page Down. That pisses me off. Oh, and it'd be nice if they developed a ClearQAM/ATSC tuner that can go in this empty slot on the side where there's a CATV connection.
