If it does come out on DVD it better be the same time as the CD release.

I bought UT 2004 and it was 6 Discs!!! Two weeks later I find a DVD version and cried.

I got Riven on DVD which was good that I didn't have to swap discs endlessly but when I got stuck and used a walk thru they kept mentioning to go to disc 3 or disc 4. The dvd version only had one disc so I had to remember which area was on which CD in order to use the walk thru.

Buy the multiple CD version and make your own DVD version... I've done with several games my self, like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004.

Well look at it like this, it's nothing compared to the waiting we've already done for this game!

Heh. Those were before my time, but I'm certainly aware of them.

For the FPSers out there who have no idea what these things are, let alone that there was ever a single speed CD drive, here's some nice pics:

The only time I ever saw one was for a Fairlight synth. 1985 if I remember right.

I don't think we'll ever see games ship on usb keys, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a game ship with a usb key that you have to plugin to play the game. Quickly gets rid of 90% of all pirates.
