Why is it when I am using Firefox to cruise the net, I have paragraphs piled on top of each other, things out of alignment and it's all impossible to read??? Is it because all of the sites I choose are formatted for IE only??? Is there anything I can do to counter this??

Have you tried removing and reinstalling Firefox? It is very, very unlikely that all the sites you are visiting are not Firefox compatible and only MSIE compatible. Years ago that may have been true for a few sites but today people who design sites generally make them compatible with a wide range of browsers.

I just upgraded to the latest version of Firefox. I don't think a reinstall will do any good.

Is there anybody else having this same problem with Firefox?

List a few sites and I'll look at them in FF.

They look fine to me in Firefox without any problems. You either have a settings problem in FF or something wrong with the install.

I've been seeing weirdness in FF vs IE for years now.
Here's MSNBC with IE:

Here is the same page with FF:

Note with FF the Bing search box is over the MSNBC logo, and the partially covered up box near the lower part of the page. Par for the course for me... I'm wondering how much of an effect AdBlock is having on my FF pages' object placements.

What my problem is I have a 24" HD Samsung monitor so I like the words to be big and easy to read. I had my font size jacked up to 22 sometimes 24.

I knocked it down to 9 and now everything is perfectly in line. Nothing is overwriting anything else. Bad side is the words look so super tiny it sucks!!! The highest I can go before the site degrades is 12.

Does anyone have any creative ideas to get around this?? Any way to get the font of the letters up without blowing up the graphics on the sites??

Try lowering the resolution.

It may look a little funny, but you will still be able to read it.

Increasing the font size will make it look a bit odd.

Have you tried using the IE Tab extension? Install it and use your old settings and see if that helps any.

Try using a scroll mouse and you should be able to make the page items appear larger without distorting the page.
Ctrl + Mouse Wheel Up
