 Post subject: IT or Audio Engineer

Im torn between what to take in school. I like both, IT is probably the smarter choice with a more secure job but i cant make up my mind i keep changing it everyday :|

In IT, emphasis is on logical and reasoning abilities to develop software and applications, whereas in audio engineering emphasis is on creative learning to mix or record audio signals. For an audio engg. knowledge of latest software in the field of audio and recording is essential.

I'd say that audio engineering, you need adequate to good hearing as well. If you like listening to loud music a lot, audio engineering's not going to have much of a future for you as you blow out your ears...

I went IT... i like solving computer problems running networks and all that jazz... i figure ill enjoy music more anyway if it isnt a job

I.T is probably a better choice as it is emerging day by day and you could definitely have a better future in it. But before you decide for something specific, look precisely towards your interests. Based upon that you should move on.
